"All Things Are Lessons God Would Have Me Learn"
Life, with all its experiences, is a continuous invitation to spiritual learning. Even though God does not share our way of learning — for He knows only what is perfect and eternal — it is His Will that His Son's happiness remains untouched. Therefore, He offers us gentle means to return to the peace that is rightfully ours. Everything that happens to us, no matter how different it may seem, always brings the same essential lesson: forgive, and you will see it differently.
God sees no contradictions, but we do. And for that reason, we need a new vision to free us from the distortions of the mind. In every difficult situation, in every thought of pain or separation, there is a chance to choose again, to see with the eyes of forgiveness. When we look through that lens, suffering loses its shape and dissolves in the light of truth. The same lesson appears in many forms: illness, loss, resentment, unfulfilled expectations... but the essential message is always the same: forgive, and peace will return.

Often we don’t recognize this right away. The pain feels real, the conflicts seem justified, and forgiveness appears far away. But beneath it all, it is always the refusal to forgive that keeps suffering alive. Forgiveness is not merely a moral or noble gesture, it is the direct path to healing the mind. It is what dissolves guilt, dismantles fear, and undoes the dream of separation. The Holy Spirit tirelessly reminds us of this truth and invites us to practice: forgive… and it will disappear.
It may be uncomfortable to admit that all pain is the result of mistaken perception. But this is a precious key. When we suffer, it is because we have not yet fully forgiven. This is not a reason for guilt, on the contrary, it is a call for compassion with oneself. God does not want His Son to suffer, nor does He wish for him to carry the weight of the world alone. On the contrary,
God longs to lighten the burden and guide us back to laughter and ease.
There is no pain He wishes to preserve, no tear He wants to leave unhealed. Everything we live through can be seen with new eyes, and in doing so, it becomes one more step toward home. God only asks us for small steps. He takes the last one. But those steps begin with our willingness to see each situation as a loving lesson, no matter how challenging it may seem. Then time is no longer a burden, but becomes a tool for healing.
Today, and every day, we are invited to leave behind the weight of the past and stop projecting shadows into the future. Every hour, we can renew the moment through the practice of forgiveness, remembering that no moment needs to carry the residue of the one before. Each hour is a chance for liberation.
This is the lesson God would have us learn: there is a way of looking at all things that transforms pain into path, conflict into reconciliation, fear into love. And before every thought of suffering, there is a simple and powerful response: I will forgive… and it will disappear.
