What is my true meaning in life?

While going through some of my old files and texts that I had backed up from an external hard drive, I came across an exercise that I did specifically on December 31, 2015, the eve of the new year. Below I share what I have come to understand today, as part of a deep process of self-reflection and searching that helped me make sense of myself at the time, and perhaps only now can I realize how important it was, despite it being something seemingly simple. I hope that this exercise, whose origin I no longer remember, will help you in your process of self-discovery.
Here's what to do: 1. Get a blank sheet of paper or open a new file in a word processor and write something in it (I prefer the latter because it's faster). :P 2. At the top, write: "What is my true purpose in life?" 3. Write an answer (any answer) that comes to mind. It doesn't have to be a whole sentence. Something short will do. 4. Repeat step 3 until you've written down the answer that makes you cry.
This is the discovery of meaning in one's own life.
This was my exercise that I did on that very day:
A free spirit living for the benefit of others working to support myself taking risks doing gymnastics
Eating and gaining weight Eating out in expensive restaurants Travelling by sea Dreaming and vomiting
Eating sardines
Travelling on the Black Lake
Walk along the banks Scrape off the rest Throw away the smoke Practice Buddhism
Practice a difficult sport Climb Everest Kill horses Laugh yourself to death Eat and eat
Drinking to heal Neighing Farting and smoking Cacti, thorns and everything else Being fed up with everything
Towards a better life Revolt and return Unfold Go out Escape
Falling Getting up Sleeping and peeing I stopped I went
I returned booger I cleaned I shit I became a human
And what am I now? A crazy space traveler Passenger on a huge spaceship that doesn't leave the place Slowed down movement
Inertia of Estimation Estimation of Life and Death An Enlightened Being
Traveling Spirit Passenger of the Future
The living love
Love in person I live and survive I am dependent without being dependent
Independence or death
Passport Air ticket with a destination of no return Time passed Time died Who am I?
I walk through the world looking for myself I walk through the world looking for God And I haven't learned I've already forgotten Who I really am and who I really want to be
Am I or am I not? Am I a being? Being of being? Quiet Passive
Exquisite Unwanted Lazy Bored Idiot
Stupid Drunk and Gifted
Masterfully rebellious Lightning and fire In the air and on the ground
In the life of the sea and the mountains I walk through the valleys of life I climb the mountains of imagination I pedal on swampy asphalt I fall into the abyss
Unbelief and disgrace
Shameful disbelief It frightens It catches It leaves me powerless
To start To get up To finish Who am I? A1. I have thought about studying art, being a draftswoman or a great artist
I will be a writer, book author, famous illustrator and graphic designer, talented, loving, laborious
Peacemaker Words come and go, flow and cease to be Meanings are appearances I wonder if I am really here Then why am I here?
What is the meaning of life?
To evolve? I've been told but I insist on getting lost I insist on looking for direction Looking for my own path
A path not yet marked out A path that I alone will discover The path that no one has traveled before The adventure of the enlightened life Who am I?
I am a human being embodied in a body of flesh and bones No! I am a spirit embodied in this body But I am not, I am here
One day I will stop being
Because things on earth are transient
Temporary changes happen
Meanwhile I travel in my enlightened and sarcastic mind Is this really so?
The beauty of life is hiding Does not want to show itself is subtle is sad is gentle
I write poems That only I can read Without presenting, for fear of exposing myself What a senseless fear To throw myself
Being naked Delirium Coddling myself Touching myself I'm not perfect
I'm no angel I wanted to be on the way But I'm still falling, like a child learning to walk Is there something to learn? I must learn!
I still have to learn a lot!
I want to grow I want to be But God is in me God is in everything
God is in every
Why hasn't he shown himself to me? Why can't I see him? Why? God speak to me!!!
It will not happen through violence
I am nothing I am a naive and small creature I think I am learning to crawl I am useless
I am God I have the strength within me But I cannot find it What a disappointment, Father! I need time
But how much time is needed? How much time left? Why so much pain? Why this incomprehensibility? You don't want to understand!
You haven't given yourself enough time... Calm down Reflect and meditate The answers will come
patience
Resilience Anything you wish for can become reality Do you know what you wish for? Wish for just to be Wish for just the good But I wish for it! I wish for the wish to be, to do, to grow, to love and to enlighten! Who do I want to be? I have wanted to be many others Today I just want to be myself
Not a copy of anyone, not a superficial and artificial clone I want to be myself! Be you! Be me! How can I be you? How can I be you, Father?
Can I also be a mother and a life? Who am I born to be?
You have free will. You decide who, when and where. You decide how, why and what.
Be!!! I digress But it is me This being who writes here
That expresses That arouses interest and is interested I am the star that shines in the morning and evening of the day I am the one who lives in this body That inhabits this body
This body is free! Free to live That's why God gave you life! Be you! Be who you want to be Just be
I love myself!!! I am love!!! I give love!!! Love and peace for all people on this earth!
Holy Earth
Beloved Earth God's Earth The Earth of the Great Father Creator of the Universe and of all things and truths that surround us Father, I seek the truth
Teach me Help me! Teach me to find the truth? Teach me to find the reality Help me to see life
Help me to see beyond the perspective of physical life. Help me to have faith and trust Help me, beloved Father! Be me! Be and manifest your divine wisdom in me
In my being Crazy conversation?
Madness? None of that! I believe in you!!!
Reveal yourself in me, Father! Reveal your love and gentleness in me! Manifest who you are and who I am in me All the love in the world All the love that can be
All life All humility All wisdom All knowledge All insight
Enlighten me, Father, with your love! Pure love! Divine love! Deep love!
Holy love!!!
Unconditional love! I believe in you! I feel you in me, Father I feel that your life and mine are one
I feel you present in my being I feel one with you I feel the beauty of the harmony of life I feel the beauty of universal creation I feel the categorical and multidimensional harmony being born in my being
This being is much more than just fingers pressing keys on the keyboard This being is bigger than the embodied body This body is me This body is not just me This body is also me
This body is you too This body is us This spirit is free This spirit lives This spirit will live forever
My spirit belongs to you, Father!
I am yours! I am your life! I am your manifestation of love in the world! I am who you wish to be!
I am a small part of you
I am you
You are me We are one What a beautiful truth!
What a divine miracle!
This incredible discovery! May Jesus bless us! Jesus bless your brothers on the journey! We are all one!
THANK YOU FOR LIFE, FATHER! I can do all things through Him who strengthens me. Philippians 4:13
I can do all things in the Lord!
Being a "free spirit" means constantly striving for freedom and accepting yourself as you are, without being limited by the expectations of others or the standards of society. It is a journey that begins with the quest for self-knowledge, acceptance of yourself and connection with the world around you. Being a free spirit requires courage to take risks, try new things and forge your own path. It can mean choosing a simple lifestyle that allows you to enjoy the simple things in life, or seeking out extreme challenges that test the limits of your mind and body. Whatever being a free spirit means to each individual, it is an exciting and rewarding journey of self-knowledge and freedom.
